Projects
Our club works on a variety of exciting projects throughout the year, giving members a chance to develop skills and participate in real-world applications. Some of our current and past projects include:
Premier
- VexU: A team creating a wheeled robot to compete in the VexU competition for the 2025-2026 competition.
- Micromouse: A team building a small advanced robot capable of autonomously navigating a maze as fast as possible.
- Battlebots: A team developing a high performance battlebot capable of competing in the battlebots competition.
- Delivery Robot: A team working on a professional level delivery robot capable of traversing campus.
Exploration
- Robot Arm: A team working to build a high performance robotic arm.
- CARVR Joint Project: A team developing a joint project with Caroline AR/VR entailing a virtual reality setup for a robot.
- Basketbot: A team with the goal of creating a robot with the ability to shoot a perfect basket everytime.
- Peoples Choice: This project is open to community choice. Have an idea? Apply and let us know what you think for a chance to work on your very own idea!
Our Teams
🛠️Exploration TeamsTeams dedicated to learning as much as possible. These projects are smaller scale, have limited budgets, and more flexible timelines. Perfect for beginners or those that just want to dip their toes in.
🔌Premier TeamsTeams dedicated to building a functioning high performance robot to go to competition or solve a complex problem. These projects are larger scale, have substantial budgets, and rigid timelines. Perfect for those that want real-world engineering experience solving challenging problems.
💻Operations TeamThe operations team is the lifeline of Ram Robotics. Whether its finances, inventory, or marketing, the operations team encompasses all things that make the club work. Perfect for those that want to learn how to build organizations and keep them running.
