Projects

Our club works on a variety of exciting projects throughout the year, giving members a chance to develop skills and participate in real-world applications. Some of our current and past projects include:

Premier

VexU: A team creating a wheeled robot to compete in the VexU competition for the 2025-2026 competition.
Micromouse: A team building a small advanced robot capable of autonomously navigating a maze as fast as possible.
Battlebots: A team developing a high performance battlebot capable of competing in the battlebots competition.
Delivery Robot: A team working on a professional level delivery robot capable of traversing campus.

Exploration

Robot Arm: A team working to build a high performance robotic arm.
CARVR Joint Project: A team developing a joint project with Caroline AR/VR entailing a virtual reality setup for a robot.
Basketbot: A team with the goal of creating a robot with the ability to shoot a perfect basket everytime.
Peoples Choice: This project is open to community choice. Have an idea? Apply and let us know what you think for a chance to work on your very own idea!

FAQs

Ram Robotics has two engineering tracks: Premier and Exploration. The Premier track is for members who want to take on high-performance engineering challenges and compete at the highest level. These teams operate on a yearly schedule with tight deadlines and require a higher time commitment. It’s a great fit if you’re excited to push your skills, work under pressure, and collaborate on ambitious projects — all while aiming for top-tier performance in competitions.The Exploration track is for members who want to work on exciting robotics projects at a more flexible pace. It’s a great fit if you’re new to robotics, still building your skills, or simply can’t commit as much time as the Premier track requires. Projects in this track are still challenging and rewarding, but the pace and scope are more relaxed, making it easier to learn, contribute, and have fun without the pressure of tight deadlines.

The operations team is the lifeline of Ram Robotics. Members of this team help support the organization in coordinating speaker events, workshops competition logistics, IT infrastructure, financing, material ordering, and marketing. This team is open to all students (including those on engineering teams).
